About Us
Shape ‘n Race is a family owned and operated business. We have been selling pinewood derby car kits, and Shape-n-Race™ car kits offline for 25 years, and began selling kits online in February of 2002. Based in Spokane, Washington, we’ve sent our quality car kits all across the nation and internationally, as well. We have been the sole supplier for Boys Brigade for the last 25 years.
The company was started by Eldon Manteuffel, a retired school teacher who always loved working with wood and with kids. Eldon set the standard that we strive to maintain. Don & Teri Story, also school teachers, are excited to have joined the Shape ‘n Race™ team with their family.
Much of our business is selling to churches, schools, Awana groups, and Boy Scout groups. We work hard to make it easy to purchase from us (yes, we do accept P.O.'s and are happy to invoice you). We take great pride in our workmanship, and find pleasure in knowing that these kits will bring joy to many, many children and adults.
